My Mustangs
First off an introduction, I am Russell previously from Cottonwood and just met Kandy this past weekend.
First my 2005 Mustang GT daily driver slightly moded and runs 13.1 in the 1/4 mile and has seen track time out at Barbers MotorSport Park in Birmingham a few times. Have track video's if anyone is interested I will post them up.
Now for a few of my 65 A code Coupe that was my 2 year project that is now going on 6 years. So far it has a new radiator support, Outer fender aprons, new floors, tail light panel, partial replacement of pass side qtr panel, flaming river quick ratio steering box, new suspension. Covering the bottom and inside with lizard skin (don't have updated pics with the lizard skin on yet). Should be ready for paint before to long, but have some saving to do for that. Anyway here are some pics from when I got it till now, enjoy

Re: My Mustangs
Thats about all I was gonna replace on the camaro until i put it on the spinner and turned it over. Thats nice how you got it up on its side.
Looks like you used that por 15 or rust encapsulator on your work. Remember thats great stuff for the inside and areas that arent gonna see much sunlight and abuse, but they recommend to put that chassis black on top of it to protect it. they started with just gloss black but now have silvers and flatter black too. Its supposed to dry as hard as powdercoat and must be a polyurethene product to hold up to the outdoors.
Epoxys are great protection, but UV light breaks them down but I am pretty sure that encapsulator is gonna eventually powder off your outside areas. The few areas that werent replacable on the camaro are gonna get that topcoat on the underside and firewall.

Unlike the artist Kandy is, I have no clue when it comes to painting, that will be the one thing I have to farm out when I get the $$$ up.

Re: My Mustangs
I have been using the rust encapsulator pretty much all over this car, what does not get lizardskin sprayed over it will be painted. You are right that stuff is great and they say it does fine in UV, I am not going to chance it.
Kandy has done wonders to that 73 he spoke of. Car is going to look great.

Kandy,
Picked up the replacement door this past friday for the 73. Needs some TLC but it is much better than what was on the car. Will try and post some pics of it tonight.
Also when do we get to see pics of the 73?
Cheers

Re: My Mustangs
He told me about seeing the doorwells and said they looked great and was impressed with how well you did fixing them. That is awsome that you take the time to paint the parts individually. Cant wait to see it finished.
